Terms, safety and privacy

Plain-language rules for buying from Mama Jane. They exist to keep you, our staff and our community safe. Last updated 24 October 2026.

Draft. These policies are awaiting review by a lawyer in Saint Lucia and may change.

The short version

  • You must be 21 or older and show valid photo ID in person, every time.
  • Every order has a 4-digit handover code. We only hand over to the named customer who shows it with their ID.
  • For safety and the law, orders are limited to 28 g of cannabis and 500 mg THC in edibles, per order and per 24 hours.
  • Products are for your personal use in private. No reselling, no buying for others, and never drive after using.
  • We only take payment on this website or at handover. We never ask for bank transfers or payment to personal accounts.
  • We collect only what we need to fulfil your order, never sell it, and remove it from finished orders after 365 days.

1. Terms of sale

  1. Who we are. Mama Jane is a cannabis retailer operating in Saint Lucia under a Class One Dispensary Licence from the Regulated Substances Authority (application pending). These terms apply to every order placed on this website, by WhatsApp or in person.
  2. Who can buy. You must be at least 21 years old, or the legal minimum age in Saint Lucia if higher, and able to show a valid government-issued photo ID (national ID card, driver's licence or passport) that matches the name on the order.
  3. Personal use only. You buy for your own personal use. You agree not to resell, share for payment, give to anyone under the legal age, or take products out of Saint Lucia.
  4. The law comes first. You are responsible for using and keeping products in line with the laws of Saint Lucia, including where cannabis may and may not be used: smoking in any public place is an offence. Our plain-language summary is on Know the law. We may refuse or cancel any order that would break the law or these terms.
  5. Accepting an order. An order is accepted when you receive a confirmation with an order code and handover code. We may still cancel it, with a full refund, if an item is unavailable, a price was clearly wrong, safety checks fail, or we cannot verify your identity or age.
  6. Apparel and accessories (T-shirts, papers, pipes) follow the same terms, including the age requirement, because they are sold in the same store.

2. Safety rules

These rules protect customers from theft and fraud, protect our staff, and keep cannabis away from young people.

  1. ID at every handover. Staff check photo ID before handing over any order, record that the check was done and the type of ID, and do not keep a copy or the ID number.
  2. Handover code. Each order has a private 4-digit code, shown on your confirmation page and in your email. Staff must enter it to complete the order. Without the right code, the order is not handed over. Never share your code by message or phone; we will never ask for it before we meet you.
  3. Purchase limits. One order may contain up to 28 g of cannabis (flower, pre-rolls, concentrates) and edibles with up to 500 mg THC in total. Each customer, identified by phone number and email, may buy up to 28 g and 500 mg in any 24 hours. The checkout enforces these limits. [CONFIRM LIMITS AGAINST CURRENT LAW AND LICENCE CONDITIONS.]
  4. Verification calls. We may call to confirm a first order or a large order before we prepare or dispatch it. If we cannot reach you, we may cancel and refund the order.
  5. Limited cash. Cash orders are limited to EC$500.00, so neither you nor our drivers carry much cash. Larger orders are paid by card.
  6. Right to refuse. Staff may refuse a handover, and leave, if ID is missing or does not match, the code is wrong, the customer appears to be buying for someone underage or reselling, appears heavily intoxicated, or if staff feel unsafe for any reason. Refused orders are refunded, less any delivery fee where the refusal was caused by the customer.
  7. Blocking. We may block a phone number or email from ordering after fake orders, attempts to buy without valid ID or for someone underage, reselling, threats or abuse.

3. Pickup and delivery

  1. Pickup is only at our licensed premises listed on the info page, at the time slot you chose. We never arrange handovers in car parks, on the street or at other locations.
  2. Who delivers. Deliveries are made only by our own staff, aged 21 or over and security-cleared, in vehicles with no cannabis branding, and only in the way the Regulated Substances Authority's transport rules allow. If those rules do not yet allow home delivery in your area, we offer pickup instead.
  3. Delivery is only to the address on your order, within the window you chose, and only to you, in person, with your ID and code. We do not leave orders at the door, with neighbours, with staff at a hotel desk or with anyone else.
  4. No delivery to schools, youth or sports facilities, places of worship, government buildings, or public spaces such as beaches, parks and bus stops. [ADD ANY LOCATIONS REQUIRED BY LAW.]
  5. Discreet packaging. Orders are sealed in plain, unbranded, child-resistant packaging. Drivers do not wear branded clothing.
  6. Missed handovers. If you are not there, have no valid ID or cannot give the code, the driver leaves and the order returns to the shop. We will contact you to rebook; a second delivery fee may apply.
  7. Driver safety. Drivers never enter homes, may ask you to step outside, and may end a delivery that feels unsafe. Please be respectful; abuse leads to blocking.

4. Use safely

Our products are not medicines. Product descriptions describe flavour and how people commonly feel; they are not health claims.

5. Scams and impersonation

6. Prices, payment and cancellations

  1. Prices are in Eastern Caribbean dollars (EC$) and include any applicable taxes [CONFIRM]. Delivery fees are shown before you pay.
  2. Card payments through PayPal are charged in US dollars at the rate shown at checkout. Card payments through WiPay are charged in EC$. We never see or store your card number.
  3. Cash is paid at handover, up to the cash limit above.
  4. You can cancel free of charge until your order is out for delivery or ready for pickup: message us with your order code. Card refunds go back to the card used, usually within 5 to 10 business days.
  5. Unpaid card orders are cancelled automatically after 2 hours.

7. Returns and refunds

  1. Cannabis products cannot be returned once handed over, for safety and hygiene reasons. If an item is wrong, damaged or unsealed, tell us within 24 hours with a photo and we will replace or refund it.
  2. Apparel can be exchanged or refunded within 14 days if unworn, unwashed and with tags attached. Faulty items are replaced at any time within 30 days.
  3. Accessories can be returned within 14 days if unused and in original packaging.

8. Privacy

  1. What we collect: your name, phone number, email, delivery address and notes; what you ordered and how you paid; the time of your age confirmation and the network address it came from; and, at handover, that ID was checked and which type. We do not keep copies of your ID or ID numbers, and we never see your card details.
  2. Why: to fulfil and support your order, to verify age and identity, to enforce purchase limits and prevent fraud, and to keep accounts required by law.
  3. Accounts: if you create an account we also keep your date of birth (to confirm you are 21 or older) and when you accepted these terms. Sign-in is handled by our login provider, Supabase; if you choose Continue with Google, Google shares your name and email with us. We never see your Google password.
  4. Who sees it: our staff and drivers, as needed for your order; Supabase, which stores account logins; PayPal or WiPay if you pay by card; and authorities only where the law requires it. We never sell or rent your data, and we do not use it for marketing unless you ask us to.
  5. How long: names, contact details and addresses are removed from finished orders after 365 days. Order totals stay for our accounts. Safety reports are deleted once resolved and older than the same period. If you create an account, you can delete it at any time from My account.
  6. Cookies: we use only cookies needed for the shop to work: your session (cart and security), your age confirmation, and, if you choose, your last order for quick reorders. Your cart is kept in your own browser. When advertising is switched on, ad networks may set their own cookies; see section 9.
  7. Your choices: you can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it (unless the law requires us to keep it), by contacting [YOUR EMAIL].
  8. Security: the site uses encrypted connections (HTTPS), admin access is password-protected, and payment is handled by the card processors.

9. Conduct, advertising and third parties

  1. Please treat staff, drivers and other customers with respect. Threats, harassment, fake orders and attempts to get around the safety rules lead to cancellation and blocking, and serious matters may be reported to the police.
  2. Some pages show advertising. Ads are provided by third-party networks, are clearly labelled, and never appear on checkout, payment or order pages. Those networks have their own privacy policies.
  3. Sample product photos are from Unsplash and are credited on each product page. Actual products may look different.
  1. Liability. We are responsible for supplying products as described and for our own negligence. We are not responsible for how products are used after handover, or for losses that were not foreseeable. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under Saint Lucian consumer law.
  2. The law. Cannabis in Saint Lucia is governed by the Drugs (Prevention of Misuse) Act, the Regulated Substances Act No. 26 of 2023 and the cannabis law and regulations made under it. Where these terms and the law differ, the law wins. See Know the law.
  3. Governing law. These terms are governed by the laws of Saint Lucia, and disputes are handled by its courts.
  4. Changes. We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the latest version. The version in force when you place an order applies to that order.
  5. Contact. Mama Jane, [BUSINESS ADDRESS], Saint Lucia · [YOUR EMAIL] · WhatsApp [YOUR WHATSAPP NUMBER]. To report a problem: mamajane.net/report.
